Bulldog Heating & Cooling is an HVAC company working the Dayton–Cincinnati metro — the I-75 corridor from Cincinnati up through West Chester, Mason, Middletown and Springboro to Dayton, and the Butler, Warren, Hamilton and Montgomery County communities either side of it.
Look at our shirts and you will see three trades: HVAC, plumbing and refrigeration. That is not padding. A water heater sits a few feet from the furnace in most basements here, and a restaurant that needs its rooftop unit serviced usually needs its walk-in looked at too. Carrying all three means one call instead of three.
We measure before we sell. On a service call that means pressures, temperature split and electrical readings before any part comes off the truck. On a replacement it means a load calculation rather than a rule of thumb based on square footage.
That matters more in this climate than most. Ohio Valley summers are humid, and an oversized air conditioner cools the thermostat quickly, shuts off, and never runs long enough to pull moisture out of the air. It is the single most common comfort complaint we get called out to fix, and it was built into the system on the day it was installed.
You will get the arithmetic, not a recommendation dressed up as one. Age, what failed, what the repair costs, what a replacement would actually save. If your system has years left in it we will say so, even when the replacement would be the bigger invoice. That is a worse day for us and a better outcome for you, and it is the reason customers call us back.
Our GE partnership gives our customers access to their efficiency and comfort lineup when we are specifying a new system. What it does not mean is that GE equipment is the answer to every house. A partnership is a supply relationship. If something else fits your home better, we will tell you.
Everything in the gallery is our work — gauges on a condenser, a crane setting a rooftop unit, brazing a line set, duct runs, water heaters, mechanical rooms. The range is the point. The same company that services a back-yard condenser also rigs commercial rooftop equipment.
